Cape Town Calling – V&A Waterfront Where the city meets the sea

Cape Town alternatively known as Mother City was established in 1652. Cape Town is located in coastal region, Western Cape, South Africa. Cape Town is one of the Capitals of South Africa.

Cape Town is considered one of the best cities in the world. It has many things to offer to tourists, expats across globe.

Cape Town was facing drought since last couple of years. But this year (2018) when I am writing this article, Cape Town started to get their much required rain (Remember Cape Town gets rain in their winter which is May – Aug period). In a positive note Cape Town embraces rain, prepares for further downpours.

Let’s find out some beautiful view of V&A Waterfront. The Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront in Cape Town is situated on the Atlantic shore, Table Bay Harbor.

Braai - The South African Heritage

Braai: Once you start saying Braai, you will start feeling in South African way. Braai is close to Barbecue in other part of the world. But here South Africans consider Braai as a part of their culture. Though this term originated with the Afrikaans-speaking people. Let’s discuss about Braai briefly.

What is Braai: Grilled meat
Fuel used: Wood, Charcoal, briquettes
Steps to follow:
Marinate your meat with ingredients (as per your taste).
Ingredients can be turmeric, chili, salt, Coriander.
Put some oil on it.
Then start keeping one by one over the stand as below.

Then wait till they are cooked/grilled properly as you can see.

Once ready to serve add your salad and enjoy

Braai Day is widely celebrated across South Africa.  It is a rich cultural heritage and experienced by all demographic groups, religious denominations. It is celebrated annually on 24 September (This is South Africa's Heritage Day).
So this September don’t miss. Have Braai (which part of the world you are hardly matter). Just get a taste of it in your culture by braaing…
