Braai - The South African Heritage

Braai: Once you start saying Braai, you will start feeling in South African way. Braai is close to Barbecue in other part of the world. But here South Africans consider Braai as a part of their culture. Though this term originated with the Afrikaans-speaking people. Let’s discuss about Braai briefly.

What is Braai: Grilled meat
Fuel used: Wood, Charcoal, briquettes
Steps to follow:
Marinate your meat with ingredients (as per your taste).
Ingredients can be turmeric, chili, salt, Coriander.
Put some oil on it.
Then start keeping one by one over the stand as below.



Then wait till they are cooked/grilled properly as you can see.



Once ready to serve add your salad and enjoy



Braai Day is widely celebrated across South Africa.  It is a rich cultural heritage and experienced by all demographic groups, religious denominations. It is celebrated annually on 24 September (This is South Africa's Heritage Day).
So this September don’t miss. Have Braai (which part of the world you are hardly matter). Just get a taste of it in your culture by braaing…
